Phuket shop posts sign refusing Israeli customers after reported disputes

A shop in Phuket has displayed a handwritten sign refusing Israeli customers, saying the measure followed alleged disruptive and confrontational incidents at the premises.

The sign, shared by the Phuket Times page, included the English words “F*ck Israel! NO Israel!” and the Thai phrase “ไม่รับยิว”, which means “Jews not accepted”.

According to the report, the shop owner said a group of Israelis had caused disturbances, issued insults and challenged staff at the shop and nearby home. The sign was put up, the owner said, to prevent similar incidents and avoid further trouble.

The post prompted widespread online discussion. Many commenters called for authorities and immigration officials to tighten the screening of tourists and controls on visa approvals, the report said.
