UPDATE: Phuket singer Nene Royal awaits America’s Got Talent finale result

Phuket singer Nene Royal has completed her final competitive performance on America’s Got Talent (AGT), performing The White Stripes’ “Seven Nation Army” in the Season 21 finale in Pasadena, California, on Wednesday, 23 September 2026.

Royal, whose real name is Rattikarn “Praew” Amlai, sang while playing guitar, displaying her vocals and rock stage presence before a global audience. The performance was broadcast in Thailand on TrueVisions.

Royal is one of 10 finalists competing for the US$1 million prize. The winner is due to be announced during a results show on Thursday, 24 September 2026, Thailand time.

After the performance, AGT judge Howie Mandel said: “Give her the $1 million now, America.”

Teachers and schoolmates at Kajonkiet International School Phuket gathered for a special screening of the final, cheering as Royal took the stage in the United States. Supporters across Thailand and elsewhere also voiced their support online.

Royal reached the finale after receiving a Live Golden Buzzer from judge Mel B during the quarterfinals for her performance of Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun”. Her earlier performances included The Cranberries’ “Zombie” at the audition stage and Muse’s “Hysteria” during the Judges’ Callbacks.

Before the final, Royal said she was “the most ready in the universe” after completing rehearsals. She travelled to the United States with her family, team and members of Phuket band OZONE.

The Thai government also urged people to support Royal. Deputy Government Spokesperson Ploytalay Laksameesaengjan said her appearance provided an opportunity to showcase Thai talent internationally.

The result is based on audience voting. The voting window closed at 7am Eastern Time, or 4am Pacific Time, in the United States, equivalent to 6pm Thailand time on 23 September 2026. Under NBC rules, voting was restricted to the United States and Puerto Rico.
