Phuket to hold ceremonies honouring King Bhumibol on Navamindra Maharaj Day
Phuket will hold Buddhist and wreath-laying ceremonies at Phuket Provincial Hall on 13 October to honour the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great.
The Phuket Provincial Government will hold ceremonies on Tuesday, 13 October, to honour the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great on Navamindra Maharaj Day.
The commemorations will take place at Mahison Phakdi Hall at Phuket Provincial Hall. Buddhist chanting and an alms-giving ceremony to dedicate merit to the late King will begin at 7am, followed by a wreath-laying ceremony at 9am.
The annual observance falls on 13 October, the anniversary of King Bhumibol’s death in 2016. Members of the public have been asked to dress appropriately and take part respectfully.
