Phuket to host InterPride global Pride conference from Oct 28 to Nov 1
The InterPride General Meeting & World Conference 2026 will take place at a resort on Patong Beach, bringing together LGBTQ+ activists, advocates and Pride organisers.
Phuket will host the InterPride General Meeting & World Conference 2026 from Oct 28 to Nov 1, with the event expected to bring together LGBTQ+ activists, advocates and InterPride members from around the world.
The conference will be held at Duangjitt Resort & Spa on Patong Beach under the theme “Pearl of Asia”, Bangkok Pride, Phuket Pride and Pride City Network announced Wednesday.
It will be the first time the annual InterPride gathering has been held in Asia or Southeast Asia since the organisation was founded in 1982, according to the announcement.
The event will focus on exchanging knowledge, discussing challenges and strengthening cross-border cooperation towards a more inclusive society. It will also showcase Phuket’s tourism appeal and what organisers described as the progress and diversity of Thailand’s grassroots Pride movement.
Chayutpong Lueangphunsin, a representative of Pride City Network, said Thailand’s Pride movement brings together organisers from 58 provinces, creating an opportunity to connect local experiences with international expertise.
“We will use this platform to exchange lessons with Pride organisers internationally and bring those insights home,” he said.
