Sathit reported that after honking to pass, the group became agitated, shouting, banging on his windows, opening his van door, and continuing to spray water directly at him.
He stated that water hit his face and eyes repeatedly, and the van’s sound system was damaged despite later cleaning. Sathit admitted he briefly lost his temper and picked up a shoe to defend himself but refrained from further action.
He has filed a formal complaint at Patong Police Station, calling for authorities to address the group’s conduct. The driver characterized the tourists’ actions as reckless and dangerous, emphasizing that Songkran festivities should not lead to such confrontations.
