Phuket venue inspection finds all 58 drug tests negative

Provincial and district officials inspected an entertainment venue in Mueang Phuket District early on 20 September and reported no weapons or related violations.

Phuket provincial and district officials inspected an entertainment venue in Mueang Phuket District from 12.30am on 20 September, with all 58 preliminary drug tests returning negative, officials said.

The tests covered all employees and a random selection of customers. Officials reported that no traces of illicit substances were detected.

The inspection team was led by Phuket Provincial Prevention Officer Akkhara Suwattikul, assisted by Assistant Prevention Officer Panchapong Boonjan, Mueang Phuket District Deputy for Security Affairs Apichat Chantrawong and district deputy Natthachanon Chodchoi.

Officials confirmed that the venue held a valid operating licence. Checks of staff and customers found no weapons or related violations.
