Police seize 2,313 meth pills in Thalang anti-drug operation

Police in Thalang District arrested three suspects and seized 2,313 methamphetamine pills during an anti-narcotics operation in Pa Khlok under the Operation 90 Days campaign.

Thalang Police said investigators first arrested a 45-year-old local man, identified as Mr. Ya, at a hut in Soi Homroskla, Moo 4, Pa Khlok. Officers said they found four methamphetamine tablets and charged him with possession of a Category 1 narcotic without authorization.

Investigators then expanded the operation and traced links to two more suspects, identified as Mr. Ched, 47, and Ms. Joy, 33, both Phuket residents. Police said the pair were found with 2,313 methamphetamine pills, packaging materials, a mobile phone and assets believed to be linked to drug trafficking.

The seized assets included a Honda Wave 110i motorcycle valued at about 60,000 baht, 32,000 baht in cash and a Redmi smartphone valued at about 9,000 baht.

The arrests took place near Ban Para Road and extended into Moo 3, Pa Khlok. Authorities charged the two suspects with possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell, saying the offense was committed for commercial purposes and posed a threat to public safety and national security.

All three suspects were taken to Thalang Police Station for further investigation and prosecution.
