Ranong man, 38, arrested in Thalang burglary case
Investigators from Thalang Police Station arrested Therdkiat Phetphrim, 38, at a house in Ananda Lakeview Village in Thepkrasattri at about 12pm on Friday (May 8).
Thalang police arrested a 38-year-old Ranong man in Phuket after tracing a burglary complaint at Ananda Lakeview Village in Thepkrasattri, investigators said. Therdkiat Phetphrim was taken into custody at about 12pm on Friday, May 8, at a house in the same housing estate.
Police charged him with theft in a dwelling using a vehicle to facilitate the removal of stolen property or to evade arrest.
Police seized gold items and a Honda Click
The investigation began after officers received a report of a burglary at a residence in Ananda Lakeview Village and launched a search for the suspect, police said.
That operation led police to another house within the village, where they found items linked to the case, including a gold necklace, gold jewellery and gold earrings.
Officers also seized a white-and-red Honda Click with a Phuket licence plate. Police said the suspect admitted using the motorbike during the crime.
A police report submitted to the Phuket Provincial Center for the Prevention and Suppression of Torture and Enforced Disappearance stated that audio and video recordings were made during the arrest.
Police said the recordings were made in compliance with Thailand’s Prevention and Suppression of Torture and Enforced Disappearance Act B.E. 2565 (2022). Therdkiat was later taken to Thalang Police Station for further legal action.
