A man believed to be Russian was fined for reckless driving after a video showed a white BMW sedan drifting in a crowded parking area near Surin Beach.
Phuket police fined a man believed to be a Russian national after a video showed a white BMW sedan drifting dangerously in a convenience store parking area near Surin Beach.
Cherng Talay Police said the incident happened late on 7 August in Choeng Thale Subdistrict. The car was seen spinning and revving loudly in the crowded area, while witnesses recorded photographs and video that later spread on social media.
Investigators identified the driver and summoned him to meet the duty investigator. Police said he was charged with reckless driving and fined.
