Russian motorcyclist dies after collision with Mercedes in Phuket

A 29-year-old Russian motorcyclist died after a collision involving his Triumph motorcycle and a Mercedes-Benz on Chaloem Phrakiat Rama IX Road in Ratsada, Mueang Phuket, on 5 November 2026.

Police found the man, identified as Ilia Eid, lying dead by the roadside with injuries consistent with a collision. His yellow Triumph motorcycle was found nearby with damage.

A black Mercedes-Benz with damage to its rear was found a short distance away. A 45-year-old woman, identified as Phatcharin, told police she had been driving the car.

Investigators are questioning the Mercedes driver and collecting evidence to establish the cause of the crash and proceed under the law.
