Russian tech CEO Vladislav Evgenievich Medvedev, 22, died after falling from the eighth floor of a luxury condominium in Phuket on April 20, police said. The founder of the 'Bearkly' IT agency had been assisting a 37-year-old Ukrainian woman with her move when the incident occurred. Phuket police are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
Timeline and Witness Accounts
CCTV footage showed Medvedev and the Ukrainian resident entering the building’s elevator at 2:31 pm before proceeding to her room. The woman told investigators she had met Medvedev only four to five hours earlier.
She reported that Medvedev offered to help pack her belongings and later took a shower. According to her statement, he began speaking to himself at times, which she found unusual.
Roughly 10 to 15 minutes after Medvedev approached the balcony, the woman noticed he was missing. Emergency responders found him critically injured near the car park at 5:15 pm, with multiple fractures to his limbs and jaw. Despite CPR and hospital treatment, he was pronounced dead.
Police Findings and Ongoing Investigation
Police Lieutenant Purachet Chukaew stated there were no signs of struggle, alcohol, or drug use at the scene. Authorities do not currently suspect homicide but are awaiting full forensic results to confirm the cause of death.
The Russian Embassy has been notified of the incident.
