Sansiri and Siam Commercial Bank will support Phuket’s Vegetarian Festival for a 14th consecutive year, including volunteer work at six shrines ahead of the 10–18 October event.
Sansiri and Siam Commercial Bank will support Phuket’s Vegetarian Festival for a 14th consecutive year, with the 2026 event scheduled for 10–18 October and shrine-cleaning activities taking place on 4–5 October.
The companies announced the programme at Jui Tui Tao Bo Keng Shrine under the theme “Continuing goodness, growing sustainably”. Sansiri said the initiative reflects private-sector support for Phuket’s cultural heritage and its development as an international festival destination.
The companies said the festival attracts more than 650,000 visitors annually, covers more than 40 shrines and generates more than B5.7 billion in economic activity over nine days. It also supports more than 4,500 local jobs, according to the announcement.
As part of this year’s programme, Sansiri said families from its 23 Phuket projects, SCB customers and employees would join clean-up activities at six shrines: Sam Ong Hu in Cherngtalay, Sam Kong, Bang Niew, Bang Khu Sam Kong Tang, Jui Tui Tao Bo Keng and Kathu.
The programme also includes a collaboration with Phuket-based brand YAYEE to produce “Scent of Legacy” sachets, intended to support local work and community income. BEANS Coffee Roaster will provide special vegetarian drinks for volunteers and participants.
SCB said its “SCB Chuan Kan Tham Dee” project would give employees and customers opportunities to participate in local cultural activities and community service. The companies also described the festival as a green event, highlighting vegetarian food, reduced carbon emissions and social inclusion.
