Search for Missing Toddler in Phang Nga Enters Third Day

Rescue teams and local volunteers have been searching for more than two days for a two-year-old Myanmar girl who went missing from her family’s home near Wat Suan Wang in Kuraburi, Phang Nga.

The child was last seen on the morning of May 28, 2026. She was wearing a pink shirt and blue shoes when she disappeared, according to the report.

Authorities set up a command center and coordinated search operations in the forested area behind the temple. Officials, volunteers and villagers searched the terrain through the day and night in an effort to find the toddler.

On May 29, searchers found one of the girl’s shoes in the forest, raising hopes that she might still be nearby. No other trace of her had been found as of the latest update.

At 12:15 a.m. on May 30, officials announced a temporary suspension of the operation after the overnight search. The mission was expected to resume later in the morning following a reassessment and planning of new strategies.

The girl remained missing at the time of reporting as the community continued supporting the search effort.
