UPDATE: Siam Piwat outlines B10 billion ICONPHUKET destination for Phuket
Siam Piwat has announced its B10 billion ICONPHUKET project, a planned hybrid retail, attraction and entertainment destination with 12 world-class attractions, due to welcome visitors in 2029.
Siam Piwat has announced ICONPHUKET, a proposed destination development in Phuket that Thai Post reports is valued at B10 billion. The company says it will become a new landmark for Phuket and a gateway to the potential of Thailand’s 14 southern provinces.
The announcement was made on 5 October 2026. Siam Piwat said it is preparing the project to welcome people from around the world in 2029, with further details to be formally announced soon.
According to Chadatip Chutrakul, chief executive of Siam Piwat, ICONPHUKET will be the company’s first major development outside Bangkok. The project is intended to bring together the strengths of the 14 southern provinces with contemporary global elements, while showcasing local identities, culture and Thai knowledge.
Thai Post reported that ICONPHUKET is being planned as a hybrid retail, attraction and entertainment destination featuring 12 world-class attractions. The company said the concept is designed to combine commercial activity with tourism, entertainment and experiences rather than operate solely as a shopping centre.
Siam Piwat said the development is designed to support economic activity, trade, investment and creativity, helping local potential reach international markets. The company described ICONPHUKET as a “Gateway to the Southern Potential” and part of a broader vision for a future economic centre in the South.
The company said its experience includes the development of Siam Paragon, Siam Center, Siam Discovery and ICONSIAM, as well as Siam Premium Outlets Bangkok. It also said more than 50,000 businesses, ranging from international luxury brands to Thai small and medium-sized enterprises, have grown with its shopping-centre network.
Siam Piwat said the project would extend its strategy of developing large-scale destinations intended to generate benefits for business partners, local communities and the cities in which they operate.
