Three suspects were arrested in Thalang on May 7, 2026, in separate drug and firearms cases during a Phuket enforcement push under a nationwide Ministry of Interior campaign. District officials Wisut Romintorn and Chaiporn Yangjeen, both serving as narcotics suppression officers, said the arrests were made this week in Thepkrasattri and Srisunthorn.
Seizures and charges in three separate cases
One suspect, identified as Mr. A, was arrested in Thepkrasattri on allegations of possessing methamphetamine and crystal meth with intent to sell. He also faces a charge of illegal drug use.
A second Thepkrasattri suspect, identified as Mr. B, was found with packaging materials, a digital scale and drug-taking equipment. Officials said he was charged with possession and attempted distribution of narcotics, drug use, and driving under the influence of methamphetamine.
In Srisunthorn Subdistrict, officers arrested Mr. C in a case involving firearms and ammunition. He faces charges of illegal possession of firearms and ammunition without a license, along with drug use.
The crackdown was described as part of a broader effort to restore social order under the Interior Ministry directive. All three suspects were taken to Thalang Police Station for further investigation and prosecution.
