Thai police have detained Lance Beck, a 48-year-old American, at a hotel in Phuket on 29 August 2026 in connection with eight US arrest warrants over alleged sexual offences involving children under 14, according to The Thaiger.
The Royal Thai Police said on 27 August 2026 that the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) had asked Thai authorities to locate Beck and assist with the case.
The Thaiger reported that investigators traced Beck after establishing that he had entered Thailand through Phuket International Airport. Police transferred him to the Immigration Detention Centre ahead of his return to the United States for legal proceedings, according to the report.
