Thunderstorms and stronger winds forecast off Phuket on 1 October
The Thai Meteorological Department forecasts scattered thundershowers in parts of the Andaman coast, with waves exceeding 2 metres in storms from Phuket southward.
The Thai Meteorological Department is forecasting scattered thundershowers and southwesterly winds of 15–30 km/h in the Andaman Sea from Phuket southward on Thursday, 1 October 2026.
Waves are expected to reach about 1 metre, rising above 2 metres during thundershowers. The department advised people in affected areas to beware of thunderstorms.
The forecast also calls for scattered thundershowers in Phang Nga, Krabi, Trang and Satun, with temperatures ranging from 23–25°C to 33–36°C. Across Thailand, isolated thundershowers are forecast in 29 provinces as the weak southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, the country and the Gulf.
