Two injured in Koh Kaew house fire as crews extinguish blaze in 15 minutes
Two people were injured in a house fire in Koh Kaew, Phuket, on Monday afternoon, with firefighters extinguishing the blaze within 15 minutes.
A house fire in the Chao Fah Garden Home community in Koh Kaew, Phuket, injured two people on Monday afternoon before firefighters brought the blaze under control within 15 minutes.
The fire broke out at about 4:00 p.m. at a house in Ban Bang Khu, according to the Phuket Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office. Emergency units were dispatched immediately after the alert was received.
The Koh Kaew Subdistrict Administrative Organization sent two fire trucks, 10 personnel and two ambulances to the scene, where they worked with other agencies to contain the fire.
The injured were identified as Mr. Wisarut, 38, who was taken to Mission Hospital, and Mrs. Suanee, 74, who was transported to Vachira Phuket Hospital.
Witnesses said Mr. Wisarut, a neighbor, ran into the burning house to rescue the older woman.
Officials said the fire was extinguished by 4:15 p.m. Authorities are investigating the cause of the blaze.
