Police in Phuket arrested five Russian tourists after a violent street incident in the city centre on May 10.

According to the source, the group of foreign nationals was detained following a series of unprovoked attacks on both Thais and other foreigners. The incident happened on Ratsada Road in the Talat Yai subdistrict.

Witnesses recorded video showing the men, described as intoxicated, behaving erratically and chasing people through the Midtown Walking Street area. Residents and good Samaritans intervened during the disturbance.
