Video reportedly shows tourist assaulted by nightclub guards in Phuket

An Instagram video published on 18 August 2026 reportedly shows a tourist being assaulted by nightclub security guards in Phuket’s Soi Bangla district.

The post says the man refused to leave a venue and fought back against bouncers before being swarmed on the nightclub steps. It describes footage showing guards punching and kicking him and striking him with batons, before chasing him along the street.

According to the post, bystanders intervened to calm the guards.
