Wichit Officials Inspect Four Entertainment Venues for Fire Safety Compliance
Wichit officials inspected four entertainment venues on July 15 and found no legal violations, while reviewing fire extinguishers, emergency exits and other safety measures.
Officials in Wichit, Phuket, inspected four entertainment venues at 9 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, as part of checks on fire safety and compliance with legal requirements.
The inspection team included Wichit police, district officers, municipal enforcement staff and volunteer defense units. No violations of the law were found during the operation.
Authorities reminded venue managers that establishments must not operate beyond legally permitted hours and that people under 20 are prohibited from entering. Weapons of any kind are also banned, while human trafficking activities are forbidden.
Fire safety measures were reviewed at all four venues. Officials said each establishment had dry chemical fire extinguishers positioned at risk points, unobstructed emergency exits and functioning illuminated escape signs. The doors could also be opened outward immediately in an emergency.
Authorities stressed the importance of conducting regular fire drills and evacuation rehearsals so patrons can be evacuated safely if a fire occurs.
