Woman in Phuket says red tuk-tuk driver exposed himself outside her home

A woman in Wichit, Phuket, says a man driving a red tuk-tuk exposed himself and carried out an indecent act while facing her outside her home on 4 October at about 7am.

The woman told Kom Chad Luek that she was sitting with her cat outside her rented home in Mueang Thong when the man drove past several times and stared at her. He then parked in a nearby soi and walked towards a wooded area opposite the house, appearing to be preparing to urinate.

She said he instead lowered his trousers and continued the behaviour while looking at her. The woman recorded the incident on her mobile phone, but said the man did not stop until she ran inside because she was afraid.

She lives at the property with her sister and one other person, and said she had never seen the man before. She plans to submit the video to investigators at Wichit Police Station and ask them to identify and take action against him.

The incident drew condemnation and calls for a swift investigation after it was shared on social media.
