Police are investigating after a 28-year-old Irish man was found floating in a lagoon in Cherng Talay, Phuket, on Thursday morning.

A 28-year-old Irish man was found dead floating in a lagoon in Phuket’s Cherng Talay area on Thursday morning, 6 August 2026, with police investigating the cause of death.

Police received a report at around 11am that the body of a foreign man had been found in the Laguna water reservoir in Moo 6, Cherng Talay.
