Art & Living: Final Stretch for Thailand Biennale, Phuket 2025 Before the Curtain Falls in Phuket on April 16, 2026 | 21:17 — confirmed details at this stage for Phuket readers.
The Thailand Biennale, Phuket 2025 is entering its final phase before the event concludes in Phuket on April 16, 2026. Organisers have transformed the island into a contemporary art destination, with the festival’s main theme, “Eternal [Kalpa],” guiding installations and experiences across more than 20 locations.
Three Main Art Routes Span Phuket
The Biennale divides its exhibitions into three principal routes, each designed to highlight different aspects of Phuket’s landscape and heritage. In the Heritage & City Vibes route, site-specific works are integrated into historic venues such as the Phuket Contemporary Art Gallery, Pearl Cinema, and the Jui Tui Shrine.
Curated projects by Melati Suryodarmo, Oat Montien, and Taiki Sakpisit have reanimated the Pearl Cinema, while Taloi Havini and Wu Zheng have created pieces at the Bangkok Commercial Bank building. Other stops include the DC Phuket Town and the Yiteng Complex, with artists like Rirkrit Tiravanija and Araya Rasdjarmrearnsook offering new perspectives on the old town’s history.

Art Beyond the City Connects with Nature
The Beyond the City route extends the festival into Phuket’s natural and rural areas, using venues such as the Mello Pillow Hotel, the first house of Luang Amnat Nararak, and the iconic Phromthep Cape viewpoint. Installations at the former Katu Distillery Park and Katu Shrine invite dialogue between art, local culture, and the environment.
Highlights include Andrew Thomas Huang’s work at Katu Shrine and Luana Vitra’s installation at the former distillery park. Tuan Nguyen presents at Mello Pillow Hotel, while Nolan Oswald Dennis addresses the power of nature at Phromthep Cape.
