Australian tourist accused of assaulting hotel worker in Patong
Police were notified of the incident at 2:15am after receiving a report of an assault at the Doze Bangla hotel in Patong.
An Australian tourist has been accused of assaulting a hotel worker at the Doze Bangla hotel in Patong, Phuket early Thursday morning. Police said Ridge Geoffrey Gordon Sherlock, 33, allegedly assaulted hotel employee Puri Udompanyavith, 38, inside Room 324 at around 12:30am on April 24.
Second hotel worker injured during incident
A second hotel employee was also hurt after entering the room when an argument was heard, police said. Both injured workers were transported to Patong Hospital for treatment.
Police received notification of the incident at 2:15am and have begun interviewing those involved as part of their investigation. Officers have not disclosed the cause of the altercation.
