Ayara Kamala unveils luxury wellness rebrand in Phuket

Ayara Kamala Resort & Spa has announced a brand refresh focused on luxury wellness, holistic wellbeing and Thai cultural heritage at its coastal property in Kamala, Phuket.

The resort said the new direction builds on more than 30 years of family expertise in designing and restoring traditional Thai houses. Its villas and pavilions feature detailed woodwork and elephant-inspired artistic motifs, while the hillside setting is designed to provide privacy, private terraces and panoramic sea views.

Located on Phuket’s so-called Millionaire’s Mile, the resort is targeting Thai and international premium travellers seeking a slower, more private form of travel. Its stated approach combines contemporary comforts with Thai hospitality, local culture and mindful living.

The refreshed wellness offering includes treatments at Ratana Spa that draw on traditional Thai health practices, locally sourced organic herbs and breathing exercises. At The Cradle Restaurant, the resort is serving southern Thai cuisine made with seasonal community ingredients, alongside cooking workshops and cliffside dinners overlooking Kamala Bay.

The Ayara Parlour offers herbal teas, specially created pastries and sunset mixology incorporating Thai herbs. Other activities include early-morning seaside yoga and sound therapy, while the resort also promotes its grounds for private weddings and celebrations.

The resort said its name, “Ayara”, refers to the elephant, which is associated in Thai tradition with calmness, wisdom and strength.

Managing director Veerasak Siriwangsanthi said the rebrand builds on the property’s cultural and craft heritage while responding to travellers’ interest in privacy, restoration and more meaningful experiences. He described the resort’s new focus as an extension of its long-standing Thai hospitality and mindful approach to living.
