Banyan Tree Phuket to host Table of Legends Thai dining series
The Saffron restaurant will host a five-course dinner with Blue Elephant on 7-8 August, featuring seasonal ingredients from across Thailand.
Banyan Tree Phuket will host the inaugural edition of its seasonal Table of Legends dining series at the resort’s Saffron restaurant on 7-8 August 2026.
The five-course dinner is being organised in collaboration with Blue Elephant, the Thai food institution founded by Master Chef Nooror Somany Steppe. She will create the menu with Saffron chefs Thipaporn Piarnthong and Woraphong Paenchu, highlighting seasonal ingredients from Thailand’s regions.
The series is intended to showcase Thai culinary heritage, local knowledge and regional produce. Banyan Tree Phuket and Blue Elephant said each edition would bring together chefs and leading restaurants from different parts of Thailand, while supporting local farmers and producers.
The dinner will begin at 6.30pm with a welcome cocktail and canapés at Saffron, Banyan Tree Phuket. Tickets cost B4,900 per person, or B6,900 including wine pairing.
Chef Nooror said Blue Elephant and Saffron shared a commitment to preserving and promoting Thai cuisine internationally. Saffron chef Woraphong said the event would allow the team to share Thai culinary heritage through seasonal ingredients, while Chef Thipaporn said local herbs, fruit and other produce would provide the starting point for contemporary Thai dishes rooted in traditional identity.
