A Peruvian woman and a Spanish man are being deported after they were filmed engaging in sexual acts inside a moving bus in Phuket on May 6, 2026. Patong police said the footage, recorded as the vehicle traveled toward Kamala, triggered heavy backlash on social media over damage to the island’s reputation.
The pair were clearly visible from outside because bright yellow lights illuminated the rear of the bus. Police said the couple had been drinking on Bangla Road before the incident.
Visas revoked and permanent blacklist imposed
Patong police said they quickly traced the man and woman after the clip spread online. Authorities then revoked both visas and began deportation proceedings to send each person back to their home country.
Officials also placed both on a permanent blacklist. The sanctions bar their return following the publicized incident.
