Fire breaks out at Kathu rented room
Police were notified of the incident at 7:10am, with the fire reported at a rented room building located at 48/36, Room A2, Moo 6, Kathu.
A fire broke out early Thursday at a rented room in Kathu, Phuket, police said. Officers were notified of the blaze at 7:10am, with the incident reported at 48/36, Room A2, Moo 6. No injuries were reported.
Damages and Ongoing Investigation
The room’s occupant, Wacharin Damsai, told police he was out making merit when a neighbour called to alert him to the fire. On returning, Mr Wacharin found his refrigerator, air conditioner, clothing, bedding, and amulets had been damaged or destroyed.
Kathu Police Chief Col Chalermchai Hoersawat has appointed Pol Lt Col Akrapol Siwilai to lead the investigation. Authorities have not identified the cause of the fire and have named no suspects.
