A fire at a three-storey restaurant building in Kata, Phuket, was contained by about 7.45am on 3 August, with no injuries or fatalities reported.
The blaze began at around 7am at the restaurant beside a hotel, according to firefighters who spoke to The Phuket Express. Fire crews from the Karon Subdistrict Administrative Organisation, supported by water trucks and fire engines, responded to the scene.
Officials contained the flames before they spread to neighbouring structures. The cause of the fire and the extent of the property damage remain under investigation.
Authorities are monitoring the site while inspections assess safety risks and the building’s structural integrity.
