Interpol wanted Kyrgyz suspects arrested at Phuket hotel

Two Kyrgyz men wanted under Interpol Red Notices in a kidnapping and murder case were arrested at a hotel in Patong, Phuket, on April 25 after fleeing to Thailand, police said. The suspects, both 26, were identified as Aiat and Adilet and were detained in a joint operation by the Crime Suppression Division and Phuket Immigration.

Case tied to alleged April 11 kidnapping in Kyrgyzstan

Police said the case began on April 11, when the pair allegedly kidnapped a man identified as Jiang in Kyrgyzstan. Authorities said Jiang’s body was later found in a valley in the Archa forest in Alamudun district, Chuy province.

The two men were wanted on charges of kidnapping, illegal detention, assault causing death and murder. Kyrgyz authorities later coordinated with Interpol to seek Red Notices for both as key suspects.

Thai police tracked suspects to Patong hotel

After receiving the Interpol information, Crime Suppression Division subdivision 5 began tracking the pair and later found they had rented a hotel room in Phuket. A joint team then moved in and arrested both men at the Patong hotel.

During questioning, both suspects denied all allegations, police said. Thai authorities are proceeding under immigration law by revoking their permission to stay in Thailand, and Matichon reported the pair are expected to be deported to Kyrgyzstan to face legal proceedings.
