Koh Siray man arrested with meth and ammunition in police raid
Police raided a house in Koh Siray and arrested a 25-year-old man after allegedly finding 100.24 grammes of crystal meth, 70 ya bah pills and one round of ammunition.
A 25-year-old man was arrested in Koh Siray after police said they found crystal meth, ya bah pills and a round of ammunition during a raid at his home on Wednesday morning.
Officers from Investigation Bureau Region 8’s Special Operations Division carried out the operation at about 7:30am under a search warrant issued by the Phuket Provincial Court.
The raid was led by Acting Pol Lt Col Theerachai Hasso, head of the Intelligence Analysis Division of Investigation Bureau Region 8, and Pol Lt Apirat Yanarat, deputy head of Investigation Division 1, together with a team of investigators.
Police searched a house in the Koh Siray area and found the suspect, identified only as Nat, 25, at the property. After presenting the court warrant, officers searched the premises and discovered about 100.24 grammes of crystal meth, 70 ya bah pills and one .38-calibre round of ammunition hidden inside the house.
Nat was arrested and charged with possession of Category 1 narcotics with intent to sell without permission, in a manner constituting commercial activity and causing distribution among the public, and possession of ammunition without permission.
He was taken to Phuket City Police Station, where investigating officers are continuing legal proceedings.
