Regional Temperatures, Storms, and Air Quality
Northern provinces such as Mae Hong Son, Tak, Phitsanulok, and Phetchabun will see minimum temperatures between 22–27°C and highs reaching 42°C. The central region, including Lopburi and Ayutthaya, faces similar heat, with maximum temperatures up to 42°C and minimums of 25–28°C.
Eastern provinces like Chonburi and Rayong are forecast to experience thunderstorms in 30% of the area, with temperatures ranging from 24–39°C. On Thailand’s west coast, including Phuket, daytime heat will combine with thunderstorms in 20% of the area and highs of 37°C.
From April 23–25, upper Thailand is expected to see summer storms, including hail and lightning, beginning in the north and northeast before moving south. The north and upper central regions are also experiencing air quality above standard limits due to accumulated dust and haze, prompting health advisories for residents to avoid outdoor exposure and use N95 masks when necessary.
