Man, 51, dies in apparent self-inflicted shooting in Chalong

A 51-year-old man died in Chalong after what police described as an apparent self-inflicted shooting.
Chalong Police were notified at about 10pm that a man had suffered a gunshot wound at a house in Soi Mayuree 2, Moo 9. Officers who arrived found Sunthorn Saedan sitting on a chair in front of the house, with a firearm nearby.
Police said their initial examination indicated that he had died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Officers questioned his wife, who told them there had been no arguments or disputes before the incident.
The investigating officer and detectives examined the scene and gathered evidence. Police have not released further information about a possible motive.
