A parking dispute in Phuket escalated when a tourist allegedly threw a heavy menu onto a restaurant table and verbally abused staff, according to a video post published on Instagram on 22 July 2026.
The post said the tourist had parked a pickup truck in a restricted area. Staff reportedly told him to move the vehicle or pay a B1,000 fine.
CCTV footage allegedly showed the man entering the restaurant before throwing the menu and leaving the premises. The post said restaurant management subsequently filed a police report over the incident.
