Accommodation searches for Phuket by Indian travellers rose 51% year on year ahead of India’s 2026 festive travel period, according to search data from digital travel platform Agoda.
Phuket ranked second among international cities searched from India, behind Bangkok, as travellers considered holidays for the Dussehra, Durga Puja and Diwali period. Agoda’s analysis covered searches made between 1 August and 30 September 2026 for stays from 15 October to 30 November 2026.
The data indicated continued interest in Phuket’s tropical and coastal attractions, including beaches, marine excursions, island-hopping trips and leisure accommodation. Bangkok recorded a 65% increase in searches, while Thailand overall saw a 55% year-on-year rise.
The figures measure accommodation search activity rather than confirmed bookings or completed journeys.
