Phuket expects B329.73 million in domestic tourism spending over three-day holiday
Phuket’s tourism authority expects 62,211 Thai visitors and average hotel occupancy of 60.79% during the 28-30 July holiday period.
Phuket is expected to receive 62,211 Thai visitors and generate B329.73 million in tourism revenue during the three-day holiday period from 28 to 30 July 2026, according to the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s Phuket office.
Siriwan Siharat, director of the TAT Phuket office, said an assessment based on a sample of hotels representing 30% of each tourist area in the province showed average occupancy of 60.79%. The average stay was 2.02 days, while average spending was B5,453.76 per person per day.
The holiday period covers the celebrations for His Majesty the King’s birthday and continues through Asarnha Bucha Day and Buddhist Lent Day.
Phuket is also holding cultural and religious activities during the period. Wat Khao Rang Samakkhi Tham will organise chanting, a sermon, a candlelit procession, and ceremonies to offer Buddhist candles and bathing robes on 29 and 30 July.
Chalong Municipality is holding its annual Buddhist Lent candle procession, including candle-making and a candle consecration ceremony. Processions will take candles to Wat Latthiwanaram, Wat Chaiyathararam and Wat Sirisilasuparam in Chalong.
