UPDATE: Phuket Parkland & Music Fest features two stages and more than 140 food booths

Phuket Parkland & Music Fest 2026 was held at Phuket Gateway in Mai Khao, Thalang, from 24 to 26 July, combining music, art, culture, food and lifestyle activities under its “Sugar Candy” theme.

Organised by the Phuket Provincial Administrative Organisation (PPAO), the three-day festival transformed the provincial landmark into a colourful Candy Land-style venue aimed at attracting residents and visitors while supporting local businesses and tourism.

According to a PPAO release, the programme included two music stages: a main stage and a garden music stage. Artists listed for the festival included Atom Chanakan, Poojan Longmic, RachYO, Waewit and Watcharawalee.

The release said visitors could choose from more than 140 food booths, alongside craft and handmade stalls, coffee and bakery vendors, and local-product displays. Colourful balloon installations and check-in areas formed part of the site, while Candy Costume 2026 invited participants to join the festival’s theme.

The PPAO said the event was intended to promote quality tourism by bringing together green space, creative activity and local commerce, helping generate income for community businesses and broadening Phuket’s appeal beyond beach tourism.

Phuket Governor Chotnarin Kerdsom, PPAO president Rewat Areerob and MP Orathai Kerdsap attended the opening ceremony, along with Mai Khao Subdistrict Administrative Organisation Deputy Mayor Wasawat Hongsasupasukul, who delivered a welcome on behalf of Mayor Sarawut Srisakukam, village headman Worawit Srisakukam, PPAO executives, council members and senior officials. Earlier reporting identified the governor as presiding over the ceremony, while the later PPAO release identified Rewat as the presiding official.
