The Phuket Parkland & Music Fest 2026 opened on 24 July at Phuket Gateway in Mai Khao, Thalang, beginning a three-day programme running through 26 July.
The event, organised by the Phuket Provincial Administrative Organisation, has transformed the provincial landmark into a “Candy Land” under the theme “Sugar Candy”. It combines music, art, culture and lifestyle activities.
Phuket Governor Chotnarin Kerdsom presided over the opening ceremony at 7 p.m. Rewat Areerob, president of the Phuket Provincial Administrative Organisation, and MP Orathai Kerdsap attended as guests of honour.
Local officials at the ceremony included Mai Khao Subdistrict Administrative Organisation Deputy Mayor Wasawat Hongsasupasukul, who delivered a welcome on behalf of Mayor Sarawut Srisakukam, as well as village headman Worawit Srisakukam, Phuket Provincial Administrative Organisation executives, council members and senior officials.
The organisers said the festival is intended to stimulate the local economy, support tourism and present Phuket as a destination focused on innovation and cultural activity.
