Phuket records B263 billion in tourism revenue from 6.96 million visitors
Phuket attracted 6.96 million visitors and generated B263.01 billion in tourism revenue during the first six months of 2026, according to the Tourism Authority of Thailand.

The TAT Phuket Office reported on 28 July that the island welcomed 6.96 million visitors between January and June. Hotels recorded an average occupancy rate of 81.85% during the period.
Russia was Phuket's largest source market, with 574,315 visitors, followed by China with 314,130. Other leading markets included the United Kingdom, with 123,413 visitors; Australia, 123,332; Germany, 98,143; France, 96,712; Kazakhstan, 77,022; Malaysia, 76,445; and South Korea, 69,958.
TAT Phuket director Siriwan Seeharach said tourism activity remained strong during a three-day public holiday that began on 28 July and includes His Majesty the King's birthday, Asalha Bucha Day and the start of Buddhist Lent.
A separate survey covering about 30% of hotels across Phuket found average occupancy of 60.79% during the holiday period. Visitors were expected to stay an average of 2.02 nights.
The survey estimated that Thai tourists would make 62,211 visits during the holiday, generating B329.73 million in tourism revenue, or an average of B5,454 per person per day.
