Phuket sets July 2026 Health Expo as part of push to become regional wellness hub
Phuket will host Phuket Health Expo 2026 on July 1-5 as officials and business leaders push to develop the island into a regional medical and wellness tourism hub.
Phuket will hold the third Phuket Health Expo 2026 from July 1-5, 2026 as the province steps up its drive to become a regional center for medical and wellness tourism, provincial officials said.
Vice Governor Suwit Pansengiam said the event, themed “Longevity: Wellness for a Long Life,” is intended to reflect Phuket’s future development direction by building a comprehensive health ecosystem. He said the province has adopted the goal of becoming a future wellness city under the concept “PHUKET The Future of Life,” with a focus on ensuring local residents benefit while also opening access to international-standard health services for visitors, investors and the global community.
According to Suwit, the expo is meant to be more than a trade fair for health products and services. He said it will serve as a platform linking knowledge, innovation, technology and business opportunities in health, wellness and sports tourism from around the world.
Somsuk Samphanpratheep, deputy provincial public health doctor in Phuket, said the event will emphasize integrating medical knowledge, technology, innovation, health promotion and the wellness industry to strengthen the province’s health ecosystem and improve quality of life. He said Phuket’s development plan includes linking health promotion, disease prevention, treatment, rehabilitation and long-term care in one system for both residents and international visitors.
He said the province is prioritizing development of an ecosystem to prevent non-communicable diseases, integration of public health service networks and smart referrals, and a broader push to position Phuket as an international medical and wellness hub.
Kongsak Kuphongsakorn, chairman of the Phuket Chamber of Commerce, said the previous expo attracted more than 5,000 visitors and generated more than 50 million baht. For the 2026 event, he said revenue is expected to rise by at least 10 million baht.
More than 80 operators are expected to take part, covering products and services in medical care, wellness, sports, nutrition and mental health. The event will also include international business matching, health route familiarization trips and the Phuket Health Expo Awards 2026.
Organizers expect the expo to generate at least 50 million baht and to help connect Phuket to the global health sector while supporting the province’s long-term economic and public health development.
