Best Spas and Massage Places in Phuket in 2026: Prices, Reviews and Trusted Salons

Phuket has two very different massage markets. At one end are destination spas where a treatment can be part of a two- or three-hour wellness experience. At the other are local massage salons where a good one-hour Thai massage can cost only a few hundred baht. Search results often call both of them “spas”, which makes prices and expectations difficult to compare.

This guide separates luxury resort spas, premium day spas and affordable massage salons. We compared recent Google reviews, official menus, booking platforms and recent menu photographs. We also checked whether complaints suggested recurring problems with cleanliness, pressure, waiting time, sales tactics or therapist consistency.

Prices were checked on 26 July 2026. Online promotions, voucher prices and walk-in prices can differ. Always confirm the treatment, duration, final price, taxes and service charge before the massage begins.

How much does a massage cost in Phuket in 2026?

In the salons researched for this guide, a standard local Thai massage commonly costs 300–750 THB for 60 minutes. Oil massage usually starts around 400–600 THB in budget salons, while premium independent salons commonly charge 700–1,000 THB. At a five-star resort spa, a one-hour treatment can cost 2,200–5,000 THB or more before tax and service charge.

The price difference is not only about massage technique. Luxury spas charge for private rooms, resort facilities, longer consultation, design, amenities and the overall setting. A local salon may deliver excellent bodywork without any of those extras.

How we chose the establishments

We began with broad searches across Phuket in English, Thai, Russian and French, then checked the most relevant and newest reviews for each shortlisted establishment. We did not rank salons by star rating alone. A small salon with a perfect score and only a handful of reviews was not automatically placed above a business with hundreds or thousands of detailed reviews.

Price evidence was collected from official websites and PDF menus first, followed by ThaiHand, GoWabi and recent photographs attached to the correct Google Maps branch. Prices from similarly named businesses in another city or another branch were rejected. The final dataset contains prices for 34 of the 35 selected establishments; Niramaya is included because its recent service evidence was strong, but its current menu could not be verified.

Banyan Tree is the clearest choice for travellers who want the massage to feel like a luxury experience rather than a quick treatment. Recent positive reviews repeatedly mention privacy, a peaceful natural setting, attentive therapists and careful pressure checks. It is also one of the most expensive choices in this guide.

2. Coqoon Spa — Nai Yang

Best for: design, couples and a resort spa near Phuket Airport.

Coqoon Spa at The Slate is one of Phuket's most distinctive-looking spas, with nest-inspired treatment spaces and a resort setting near Nai Yang. Its official April 2026 menu is unusually transparent, making it easier to compare treatments before booking.

Pros: Memorable design, complete official menu and convenient location for Nai Yang.
Cons: A past reviewer liked the concept but reported traffic noise in one treatment space. It is a resort-spa price level, not a budget massage.

3. Anantara Spa at Anantara Layan Phuket Resort — Layan / north Bang Tao

Best for: a quiet luxury treatment around Layan.

Pros: Quiet resort environment and strong early review record.

Best for: a five-star resort spa in northern Phuket.
