Police say Phuket man tried to hack Royal Thai Police systems to erase arrest warrants

Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau officers have arrested a 26-year-old alleged hacker who police say tried to access Royal Thai Police systems and delete his own arrest warrants.

The suspect was identified as Sahachart Chuaybamrung. He was arrested at an apartment in Phuket’s Muang district, according to police.

Police said Chuaybamrung had only completed Grade 6 but taught himself advanced computer skills using AI chatbots. They allege that he used those skills in an attempt to hack into Royal Thai Police systems and remove records of warrants issued for his arrest.

The source did not provide further details about the warrants, the alleged intrusion, or the charges faced by Chuaybamrung. The allegations had not been tested in court.
