UPDATE: Saudi Arabian man arrested in Patong with cocaine and crystal meth
Patong police said a Saudi Arabian national was arrested on 22 July during an anti-drug operation after crystal methamphetamine and cocaine were allegedly seized at a hotel on Muen Ngern Road.
Patong police arrested a Saudi Arabian national on 22 July on allegations of possessing crystal methamphetamine with intent to sell and illegally possessing cocaine.
Patong Police Station said the arrest was made during Operation 90 Days, an ongoing campaign targeting illegal drugs. Officers detained the man in the parking area outside a hotel on Muen Ngern Road in Patong, Kathu district, before extending their search to his accommodation.
Police said they seized about 4.04 grams of crystal methamphetamine, a Category 1 narcotic, and about 1.70 grams of cocaine, a Category 2 narcotic. A mobile phone and digital weighing scale were also reportedly taken as evidence.
The suspect was taken to Patong Police Station and handed to investigators for further legal proceedings. Police said he had not made a public statement at the time of reporting.
