Signs removed from Phuket villa linked to Bum Panadda’s husband
Signs bearing the name of the Good Deeds Foundation, Phuket, have been removed from a villa project in Mai Khao, Thalang, amid renewed attention to disputed money claims.
Signs for the Good Deeds Foundation, Phuket, have been removed from a villa project in Mai Khao, Thalang district, after the site became the subject of renewed media attention.
The project is in Ban Dan Yit Soi 7, also known as Soi Mor Yiam, about 17 minutes from Phuket International Airport. A report published on 29 October 2026 said the site was surrounded by a wall more than 2 metres high and fitted with closed-circuit cameras. Its entrance was shut, with a notice prohibiting entry without permission.
The foundation sign that had been installed on the wall near the entrance, as well as another sign beside the road leading to the project, had been removed. Only parts of buildings could be seen above the wall, preventing an external inspection from establishing the project's construction progress, the number of completed buildings or its current use. The project was described as having 24-hour security.
The report followed renewed attention to money claims involving Thai public figure Bum Panadda Wongphutdee and the foundation. A contractor identified as Chang Ae said he had received two separate sums: more than B20 million for construction of the Phuket villa and B45 million that he said had been transferred to his account before being gradually returned to Panadda’s husband. He said the two sums had different purposes.
An inspection from outside the closed site could not establish the full facts of the financial transactions or the project's current status.
