A 27-year-old South African tourist was arrested at Phuket International Airport after six rounds of ammunition and a firearm magazine were found in his luggage during outbound baggage screening.
Sakhu Police were notified by airport officials at about 10pm on Saturday, 25 July 2026, after the items were detected in the baggage X-ray screening area of the international terminal. The man was subsequently arrested.
