Surin Province holds a meeting of the Outstanding Children and Youth Selection Committee

Surin Province convened its Outstanding Children and Youth Selection Committee on April 18, with Deputy Governor Kitti Satsue presiding over the meeting at the Provincial Disabled Service Center. The committee reviewed nominations of exemplary youth, focusing on candidates with strong moral character and contributions to society, as part of the process to select a provincial representative for the national Outstanding Youth awards. The initiative, supported by the National Council on Social Welfare of Thailand under royal patronage, included five candidates from various educational institutions in Surin, officials said.

Rigorous Selection Process and National Representation

Committee members applied strict criteria to evaluate each nominee, considering both academic performance and extracurricular achievements.

Only one youth will be chosen to represent Surin Province at the national level, with the selected name to be forwarded to the National Council on Social Welfare of Thailand for final consideration.

The process aims to highlight individuals who serve as positive role models within their communities. Phuket officials have observed similar selection processes in their own province for national youth recognition programs.
