Police said the Patong case centered on a locker used to store five firearms and 100 rounds of ammunition. The report identified the suspect only as a Swede.
A separate report from Rawai said a teenage victim was rescued in a sex trafficking raid. Authorities said the operation targeted suspected exploitation involving a minor.
The May 14 Phuket Xtra segment also listed other developments across the island. Those included the prime minister’s pledge to end encroachment at Freedom Beach and a protest by Patong nightlife operators over alleged extortion and delays in licensing.
