Swedish woman wanted under Interpol Red Notice arrested in Phuket

Phuket Immigration arrested a Swedish woman wanted under an Interpol Red Notice for alleged large-scale fraud linked to a call centre gang, authorities told The Phuket Express.

The suspect, identified only as Mrs Felicia, was arrested in Wichit on 4 August after officers tracked her movements and confirmed her identity through biometric records. The Red Notice was issued on 24 June 2026 over allegations that she impersonated financial and banking officials.

Investigators said Felicia and at least 14 alleged accomplices contacted victims between early 2022 and mid-2023 while posing as representatives of banks and finance companies. They allegedly persuaded victims to transfer money in 163 fraudulent transactions, causing losses of more than B60 million.

Felicia entered Thailand through Ranong seaport on 31 January 2026 on a tourist visa, which was later extended until 31 August. Immigration authorities revoked the visa after her arrest.

She was transferred to Phuket Immigration for deportation proceedings and is expected to be repatriated to Sweden to face prosecution under international cooperation protocols.
