Two arrested in Thalang drug raids, nearly 1,000 meth pills seized
Thalang police arrested two men in separate raids, seizing 927 methamphetamine pills, 6.35 grams of crystal meth and a mobile phone, and recorded both cases in the Royal Thai Police’s POLICE4.0 system.
Police in Thalang arrested two men in coordinated raids in high-risk areas and seized nearly 1,000 methamphetamine pills, according to Thalang Police.
In the first arrest, officers detained 30-year-old Thanawat, also known as “Mos” Chuchue, at his residence in Thepkrasattri Subdistrict. Police said he was found with 127 methamphetamine tablets and charged with possession of a Category 1 narcotic without permission.
In the second case, police arrested 37-year-old Awut, also known as “Romri” Thin Ko Yao, at his home in Pa Khlok Subdistrict. Authorities said they seized 800 methamphetamine tablets, 6.35 grams of crystal methamphetamine and a green Infinix mobile phone valued at about 6,000 baht.
Police said Awut was charged with possession of Category 1 narcotics, including methamphetamine pills and crystal methamphetamine, with intent to sell without permission. Police classified the alleged offence as being committed for commercial purposes and contributing to the spread of drugs among the public.
The arrests were led by Thalang Police investigation chief Pol Lt Col. Suchart Luecha with support from investigation and patrol officers. Both cases were recorded in the Royal Thai Police’s POLICE4.0 system, and the suspects and seized items were handed over to Thalang Police investigators for further legal proceedings.
