Two Arrested in Thalang as Police Seize Nearly 1,000 Meth Pills

Thalang police arrested two suspects in separate raids and seized 927 methamphetamine pills and 6.35 grams of crystal meth, authorities said.

Police in Thalang arrested two men in coordinated raids in high-risk areas and seized nearly 1,000 methamphetamine pills, according to Thalang Police.

In the first arrest, officers detained Thanawat, also known as “Mos,” 30, at his residence in Moo 4 of Thepkrasattri Subdistrict. Police said he was found with 127 methamphetamine tablets. He faces a charge of illegal possession of a Category 1 narcotic.

In the second case, police arrested Awoot, also known as “Romri,” 37, at his home in Moo 9 of Pa Khlok Subdistrict. Authorities said they seized 800 methamphetamine tablets, 6.35 grams of crystal methamphetamine, and a mobile phone.

Police said Awoot is accused of possession with intent to distribute, which carries heavier penalties because of its potential effect on drug circulation in the community.

Both suspects and the seized items were handed over to Thalang Police investigators for legal proceedings.
