Unidentified man found dead outside Patong school
The body was discovered at about 7:03am in front of Wat Suwankiriwong School (Wat Patong School) on Phra Baramee Rd, according to a report filed by Patong Police.
An unidentified man was found dead outside Wat Suwankiriwong School on Phra Baramee Rd in Patong at about 7:03am on May 13, Patong Police reported. The man, believed to be about 50 years old, was discovered in front of the school, also known as Wat Patong School, in Phuket.
Police said the man carried no identification documents, leaving investigators unable to confirm his name or origin.
Police say no visible injuries were found
Investigating officer Pol Lt Wisanu Choomi said officers asked people nearby for information and learned only that the man had been staying around Wat Suwankiriwong and sleeping there.
An initial examination at the scene found no signs of assault or struggle, police said.
Pol Lt Wisanu said checks of the body found no stab wounds, bruises or other injuries.
Patong Police worked with Kusoldharm Phuket Foundation personnel to remove the body from the scene.
The body was sent for a medical examination to determine the exact cause of death.
Pol Lt Wisanu said police still could not identify the man or determine where he came from.
